The Canucks VR 360˚ Experience was a collaboration between Perspective Films and the Vancouver Canucks. This 360˚ video was their first ever virtual reality experience, created to transport their season ticket holders and sponsor into an immersive environment. Now you too can put on a headset and be right there, in the dressing room and on the ice singing along to the national anthem.
Perspective Films is excited to be the Vancouver Canucks’ Preferred Supplier for virtual reality production.

How it started
In 2013, Chris Bedyk developed the concept and started to build high-end 360˚SLR cameras to capture his vision. February 2016, it became a reality when J2 introduced Chris to Idealens who immediately saw the potential and partnered in the production. April 2016, production started on the first episode with Producer Rebeka Herron leading the way. June 2016, the Perspective crew headed to the Grand Canyon to capture episode #2.

Aurora
Episode #101
Yellowknife, Canada is one of the best places in the world to watch the northern lights which are magical spectacle to see in person. On day 2 our cameras captured something rare, G4-Severe geomagnetic storm which happens only 100 times every 11 years. For 10 days we braved temperatures that dipped below -30˚C. It was so cold the camera power cables were snapping in half.
The Grand Canyon
Episode #102
Grand Canyon is one of the most spectacular places to visit. So large, you can see it from space. Over 5 million people visit each year to experience its amazing sunsets and breath taking views. Our crew faced exhaustion, extreme environmental conditions with temperatures reaching a peak of +50˚C. The hot air balloon our cameras were in almost crashed as we took out trees and landed in the middle of a highway.
